The State Karate Association of Bihar (SKAB), founded in 2017 and registered under the Society Registration Act 1860 with the Government of Bihar, is the official governing body for karate in the state. It is an affiliated member of the Karate India Organisation (KIO), the national federation for karate in India.

Through KIO, SKAB is aligned with the World Karate Federation (WKF), Asian Karate Federation (AKF), Commonwealth Karate Federation (CKF), and South Asian Karate Do Federation (SAKF), ensuring that its technical, administrative, and sporting standards meet globally recognized benchmarks.

With a mission to promote and develop karate across Bihar, SKAB provides structured training, certification, and opportunities for athletes, coaches, and officials. From grassroots programs to international competitions, SKAB works to nurture talent while upholding the Olympic values of fair play, discipline, and sportsmanship.

In addition to administration, SKAB organizes championships, workshops, and development programs, fostering cooperation at the national, regional, and international levels.
